The Jonny Ford Quartet is one of the most exciting new bands on the UK jazz scene, and features Matt Carter (piano), Joe Lee (double bass) and Joel Waters (drums). Led by saxophonist and composer Jonny Ford, best known for his beautiful sound and sense of melody, the group moves seamlessly between lyrical ballads, hard-swinging bop, and fresh original compositions. The programme features re-interpratations of some of Stan Getz’s later recordings, interwoven with Jonny’s own tunes and select jazz standards.
