Nette Robinson presents a programme of favourite jazz standards together with her husband, saxophone ace Tony Woods, and the house band. Nette is known for her close collaboration with jazz legend Michael Garrick, who described her as a "very fine singer, very accurate, very emotional". Nette is also a fine saxophonist and arranger, as well as a chess player and painter.
Tony Woods is renowned for his imaginative improvisation, fiery and lyrical by turn. He has toured extensively and performed at festivals including Manchester and Swanage, and venues like Southbank and Ronnie Scott’s. He has recorded CDs with his own Tony Woods Project, and with Tim Whitehead, Pete Churchill and the late Michael Garrick.
