is a jazz vibraphonist and drummer based in London. He specialises in playing straight ahead, swinging jazz, unashamedly influenced by players like Milt Jackson, Cal Tjader and others. He has been described by Clark Tracey as “one of the best vibes players this country has ever produced.” His 2018 CD, 'Portrait Of The MJQ’ performs the music of one of the most famous and influential groups of the 20th century, the ‘Modern Jazz Quartet’. "You've got it, man!" - Benny Green
"OK, I am now officially a fan!" - Joe Locke |
Recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, and noted for his beautiful sound and lyrical playing, saxophonist Jonny Ford has performed on many occasions at Bracknell Jazz since his teens, often alongside his school friend the multi-talented Ted Hayes on drums, and father and son team Simon and Rudy Cook.
