Vocalist Nette Robinson was described by her frequent collaborator, the legendary Michael Garrick, as a "very fine singer, very accurate, very emotional".
In addition, Nette is a very creative arranger. She frequently writes for large ensembles, and has performed her charts with big bands including the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
Her "Little Big Band" project celebrates and pays tribute to big-band legends. It performs her re-imaginings of Basie and Ellington big band classics, slimmed down to the minimal combination of voice, saxophone, trombone, bass and drums.
