Gordon Campbell is regarded as one of this country's leading trombone players. He is Lead Trombone for the John Wilson Orchestra and the BBC Big Band - a position he has held since 1984.
He has worked with many of the world's leading performers, including Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Shirley Bassey and Robbie Williams. He also played regularly with the Laurie Holloway Big Band on the "Parkinson" tv show. He is Professor of Trombone at the Royal Marines School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music.
